Hire terms

Key terms for online bookings. The full hire agreement is completed at collection.

Hire day

A hire day is 24 hours, from 08:00 to 08:00. Late returns may be charged as an additional day.

Payment

Online bookings take the full hire total by card. A £150 security deposit is required when you collect the van at the yard — unused amounts are refunded after the hire. Storage requests attached to a hire are confirmed and charged separately by the yard.

A £150 security deposit is required when you collect the van. This is taken at the yard (not online) and unused amounts are refunded after the hire.

Mileage

Mileage is charged at 15p per mile after 100 or 300 miles, depending on the length of hire.

Fuel

The hirer is responsible for fuel used during hire and must return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as when hired.

Driver and ID requirements

Bring your driving licence. If it is not a photocard licence, bring your passport as well. Also bring a utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months showing the same address as your licence. Digital copies are fine. If the address on your ID differs from your licence, two forms of address ID are required.

Insurance and excess

Insurance, road tax and 24/7 roadside assistance are included in the hire price. Insurance excess is £1,500 in the event of damage or a claim.

Breakdown and alternative vehicles

If a vehicle breaks down we will look at providing an alternative during yard opening hours only — we do not supply replacement vehicles out of hours.

Cancellations

Contact the yard as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel. How payment is treated depends on the notice given and whether the vehicle can be re-let.

Collection and return

Vehicles are collected from and returned to Unit 1 Hexthorpe Rd, Doncaster, DN4 0EJ during opening hours, unless otherwise agreed with the yard. Monday–Saturday hires run 8:00am to 8:00am. On Sundays, pickup is from 9:00am and drop-off is by 9:30am. Monday–Saturday hires run 8:00am to 8:00am.
